Amerikooler Offers 50-Year Thermal Warranty for XPS Insulation

Miami-based Amerikooler recently announced a new, unique 50-year thermal warranty for the Styrofoam Panel Core® Blue Board® Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) insulation made by Dow Chemical Company and used in all Amerikooler products. This unprecedented warranty more than doubles the length of the existing warranty and signifies an assertive vote of confidence from the company as to the quality, longevity and integrity of Amerikooler's panels.

Amerikooler has utilized the XPS Blue Board for over two years to provide environmentally friendly, efficient and enduring insulation for Amerikooler's panels with outstanding results. In addition to providing increasing long-term, sustainable R-value retention, the XPS insulation is produced without formaldehyde, and the foaming agents utilized contain no volatile organic compounds, HCFCs or CFCs and have no ozone depletion potential. The insulation has also passed fire, physical property and application testing for both above-grade and below-grade applications.

Amerikooler’s 50-year warranty sends a pointed message that the company stands behind a product designed to maintain high insulation performance throughout the life of the structure. This new warranty is in addition to Amerikooler’s existing 10-year panel and 5-year refrigeration warranties.
